About the Event

We invite you on 4 December 2025 to “High Jewellery Art of Ukraine” at Zenyk Art Gallery, the exhibition space of the ZASS Hall of the ZAG Gallery (3rd floor).

On December 4, Lviv will host a unique pop-up event by the Lobortas House—a one-day showcase presenting the highest level of contemporary Ukrainian jewellery art. This is a rare opportunity to see works of exceptional complexity, created by a large creative team working within a unified artistic school. The pieces on display reveal the distinctive character of high jewellery art—a synthesis of technical mastery, innovative technologies, and refined artistic expression. Several exhibits are true one-of-a-kind masterpieces, created as single originals whose sophistication and perfection inspire and take one’s breath away.

The central exhibit will be the legendary “Swan Princess” ring—the first Ukrainian jewellery artwork entered into the Guinness World Records, which inaugurated a separate global category: “the ring with the largest number of diamonds.” In 2012, news of the record appeared in more than 100,000 international media publications, including Forbes, Rapaport, Idex, Diamond World, as well as ELLE, VOGUE, Hollywood Heavy, and many other esteemed magazines and platforms. The “Swan Princess” became a defining symbol of the House’s technical mastery and a significant milestone in Ukraine’s presence within international cultural dialogue.

The showcase will unite key directions of the creative laboratory of the Lobortas House, demonstrating the complexity and technological precision of its signature approaches:

• original champlevé and cloisonné hot enamel
• transformer jewellery with engineering mechanisms
• mirror-finish surfaces and jewellery with optical illusions
• patented jewellery technologies, and more

At 19:00, a lecture by the House’s Creative Director, Anastasiia Lobortas, will take place:
“High Jewellery Art of Ukraine: Technologies, Innovations, and Cultural Diplomacy.”
The lecture will explore the history of the Lobortas House through the lens of signature techniques, technological solutions, innovations, and the role of jewellery objects in shaping a nation’s cultural image. Anastasiia Lobortas will share insights into the creation of complex compositions that combine engineering, artistic vision, microminiature, and symbolic plasticity, as well as discuss how Ukrainian jewellery art is becoming an important language of contemporary cultural diplomacy.

Attendance at the lecture is free, with prior registration required.
