On December 23 at 7:00 PM, we invite you to immerse yourself in a true Christmas celebration that will create that special mood on the eve of one of the year’s most magnificent holidays.

Music infused with the spirit of Ukrainian Christmas will resound in the ZAG Gallery—performed by one of Ukraine’s outstanding orchestras, the Symphony Orchestra of the Lviv National Philharmonic, conducted by Serhii Khorovets.

"Christmas Symphonisms" is a cycle of Ukrainian carols and shchedrivkas arranged by renowned Ukrainian composer Ivan Nebesnyy. These compositions evoke the true anticipation of the Christmas season, the strength of Ukrainian traditions, and the warmth of home.

The final part of Ivan Nebesnyi’s concert will be the original nativity play ZAG.

You are invited to a unique performance of the original nativity play ZAG — a contemporary interpretation of the Christmas mystery that rethinks tradition through the language of symbols, poetry, and living images. This is not a classical nativity play, but an artistic production in which all characters appear as birds — symbols of light, hope, freedom, and Christmas wonder. These images create the atmosphere of a tender, symbolic fairy tale, where ancient tradition meets a modern artistic vision.

Duration: 30–40 minutes.

The script was created by the ZAG team.

The production features professional actors from the First Theatre.

The Department of Visual Arts of Lviv Polytechnic, together with its students, proposed the key idea and creative vision of the performance, which became the foundation of its artistic image and conceptual form.

The visual world of the play was brought to life by the YaVereta team, who created the fabrics and costumes — light, symbolic, and inspired by nature and the movement of wings.

Financial support for the nativity play was provided by ZAG and Nordic-Bud LLC, thanks to which the project achieved a complete and highly artistic form.

P.S. In this nativity play, you will not see kings — only birds, light, and Christmas wonder.
