About the Event

About the Event
For the first time, ZAG Gallery opens its space to theater.

We invite you on November 23 at 7:00 PM to attend the performance “Angel’s Wings” — a chamber project by the First Theatre, created as a theatrical improvisation inspired by the work Elegy by Japanese writer Yasunari Kawabata.

Director: Olena Krylova

“Angel’s Wings” is a shared presence of actor and audience within a single ritual space. The performance unfolds as a continuous monologue of a woman who experiences love, memory, and loss. The improvisational format means that each event exists only in this very moment: the audience does not remain on the sidelines but enters the space of action.

The stage language of the performance draws on Japanese aesthetics — structured movement, spatial awareness, the attributes of the tea ceremony, the kimono costume, and a thematically composed sound score.

The showing of “Angel’s Wings” will be the first theatrical project in the ZAG Gallery space, marking the beginning of a new direction for the gallery’s work with live performance.

Date and Time: November 23 at 7:00 PM
Duration: 1 hour 10 minutes, no intermission
