Alina Bzhezhinska Trio - "In the Footsteps of the Great Masters"

We invite you on December 12 at 19:00 to the XXV Jazz Bez Festival for a performance by Alina Bzhezhinska Trio — a meditative jazz program “In the Footsteps of the Great Masters” at ZAG.

For the first time on the Jazz Bez stage, the world-renowned jazz harp star and 2024 UK Parliamentary Award laureate, Alina Bzhezhinska, who was born in Lviv, will perform. An artist shaping the new wave of European jazz, she is coming to Lviv directly from London with her specially created program “In the Footsteps of the Great Masters.”

Joining Alina’s trio are:

• Joel Prime — a British percussionist known for his incredible live performances and work with leading European jazz stages.

• Іhor Zakus — an outstanding Ukrainian composer and bassist who is joining the project especially for this concert.

The concert will feature works by the legendary Alice & John Coltrane, Duke Ellington, Dorothy Ashby, Stevie Wonder, as well as Alina’s original compositions from her four albums recorded with masters of world jazz.

This evening marks the first meditative jazz event in the ZAG space. The program was created exclusively for the XXV Jazz Bez Festival to introduce Ukrainian audiences to the unique world of the jazz harp.

This is a rare chance to hear the jazz harp live — in an intimate setting, accompanied by some of the most stylish musicians on the contemporary scene.
