Exhibition "Smile at Everyone Around" by Lianochka Prochko

From September 12 to 24, the exhibition "Smile at Everyone Around You" will be on view at the ZASS exhibition space in the ZAG gallery. It is dedicated to the creative work of Lianochka, an 11-year-old girl who passed away due to leukemia. Despite all the hardships of her short life, she never lost hope and continued to love the world. Through her art, she sought to share light and meaning with others.

The exhibition features drawings and poems that combine childlike innocence with the emotional depth of adult experience. Her works explore themes of nature, animals, religious symbolism, and fantastical imagery.

The exhibition is divided into seven thematic zones, each revealing one of the main motifs of Lianochka’s art:

  • "Tell Me a Tale About the Blue Sea" — a series of drawings portraying an imaginary ocean world filled with orcas and dolphins, radiating warmth and love.

  • "I Wish Trees Could Talk" — illustrations expressing the girl's love for nature, where trees, flowers, and animals come to life, gaining voices and personalities, revealing a world of beauty and harmony.

  • "If I Could Invent a New Holiday, It Would Be a Celebration of Blooming Flowers" — festive images of blooming flowers as symbols of everyday joy.

  • "Who Doesn’t Love Animals" — a series of works about friendship and warmth toward animals.

  • "Such a Long Path Was Destined for Me" — heartfelt reflections on strength, resilience, and faith in the future.

  • "With God, My Life Is Infinite" — artworks rich in religious motifs, images of light, the sky, stars, and angels.

  • "Always Smile Like a Rainbow" — pieces full of sunshine and joy, where every detail speaks of optimism.

This exhibition is not focused on loss, but rather on learning to find joy in life despite everything — to see the light even in the darkest moments. That is what Lianochka put into her works: she remained a child with a great soul, able to see beauty in the everyday.

Opening: September 12 at 4:00 PM
Location: Zenyk Art Studio Space (ZASS), 3rd floor of the ZAG Gallery
