We invite you, from December 23 to January 12, to immerse yourself in the Christmas atmosphere at the exhibition “Christmas” at ZENYK ART GALLERY (3rd floor).
The exhibition is divided into three parts — Trinity, Bread, and Nativity Scene, as it is the light of faith, the gift of life, and the living performance together that create the complete meaning of Christmas.
Christmas: Trinity
The Trinity brings light into the home — a sign of God’s living presence within the family circle. Three flames create harmony between separation and unity, between the human and the divine. In this balance, the Trinity emerges as a symbolic bridge between Earth and Heaven, which are united on Christmas night through the birth of Christ.
Christmas: Bread
What is most precious on Earth finds its echo in Heaven. Bread on the Christmas table becomes a sign of birth and beginning — a moment where human labor meets God’s blessing. It embodies life, a gift, and a promise passed from hand to hand, from generation to generation.
Christmas: Nativity Scene
The project “Nativity Scene 2025” is a synthesis of sacred narrative, bird symbolism, and suprematist geometry, transforming the traditional nativity scene into a conceptual art installation. In 2025, we reinterpret the Ukrainian Christmas nativity through the lens of the avant-garde art of Kazimir Malevich — a Ukrainian artist, philosopher, and theorist of form, whose legacy gains particular significance in the year of his commemorative anniversary.
The exhibition “Christmas” is an original project by ZAG, complemented by works by Nataliia Pavliuk and Tetiana Rusetska, dedicated to the theme of the Trinity. The project “Nativity Scene 2025” was developed by the team of the Department of Visual Design and Art at Lviv Polytechnic National University, under the leadership of the Head of the Department Viktor Shtets and Roksoliana Kvasnytsia.
The exhibition will run from December 23 to January 12 at ZENYK ART GALLERY (3rd floor).
