Exhibition of Ukrainian and International Set Designers and Theatre Costume Artists
On September 26, a new exhibition opens — "Lviv Scenography Quadriennale 2025: A Point Changes Space"
Dates: September 26 – October 12
Location: Zenyk Art Studio Space (ZASS), 3rd floor of the ZAG Gallery
The Lviv Scenography Quadriennale is an international event initiated in 2018 by the NGO "Scenography Gallery." Despite the challenges of war, the Quadriennale will take place for the third time this year. The theme "A Point Changes Space" reminds us that even a single impulse can be the starting point for profound transformation.
The Quadriennale brings together exhibition, educational, and performative programs, gathering artists, performers, art historians, theatre critics, and a wide audience from across Ukraine and abroad. Its primary mission is to promote and develop the art of scenography in Ukraine and to foster international professional dialogue.
This exhibition focuses on the art of scenography, offering an expanded perception of its forms and potential. Today, scenography encompasses all visual expressions in the realm of stage design—and even beyond: it includes the visual elements of performative arts outside traditional theatre spaces.
This chamber exhibition at ZAG showcases professional artists from Ukraine, Lithuania, and Austria, reflecting the diversity and depth of contemporary scenographic art.
