Art requires protection no less than people, cars, buildings, or production facilities. UNIQA Ukraine has taken a step that opens a new chapter in the country’s insurance landscape — for the first time, artworks exhibited in our gallery have been fully insured.
The parent company, UNIQA Austria, has been the insurance partner of the legendary Albertina Museum in Vienna for over two decades — one of Europe’s most renowned collections of classical and modern art. This approach has now been introduced in Ukraine for the first time. In partnership with AON Ukraine, UNIQA Ukraine provided insurance coverage for the exhibited works, including unique pieces from the 16th to the 21st centuries — among them works by Dürer, Raimondi, Repin, as well as contemporary Ukrainian artists. Some of the paintings on view, now part of the exhibition “Heaven / Hell,” were rescued from shelling and are once again accessible to the public.
