On 26 March, Zenyk Art Gallery (ZAG) hosted the charity art auction “Havriil”, bringing together art, culture, and philanthropy to support an important cause—raising funds for the advanced prosthetic treatment and rehabilitation of Viktor Fedorov, a serviceman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Viktor Fedorov sustained severe injuries while evacuating fellow soldiers under intense artillery fire and drone attacks.
This was the second charity auction held in the gallery’s exhibition space and the sixth auction organised as part of ZAG’s broader charitable programme. The event was organised in partnership with the Kozytskyi Charity Foundation. It took place during the exhibition “HE: Taras Shevchenko. The Artist”, whose themes provided a meaningful context for the charitable initiative. The auction was hosted by Yurii Horbunov and Kateryna Osadcha.
More than 20 artworks were presented at the auction, featuring works by both Ukrainian and internationally renowned artists, including Rembrandt van Rijn, Maria Prymachenko, Ivan Trush, as well as leading contemporary Ukrainian artists. A special feature of the event was the participation of several recipients of the Taras Shevchenko National Prize of Ukraine, including Dmytro Stus, Vasyl Vovkun, Yurii Laniuk, Oleh Kryshtopa, and Ivan Ostafiichuk.
We sincerely thank the artists, partners, and everyone who took part in the auction for their trust and support. Art has the power to bring people together—and to inspire collective action for causes that truly matter.
