Experiments at ZAG

Art and science have never existed separately. They emerged together — as two ways of understanding the world.

Leonardo da Vinci studied and sketched the mechanics of flight.
Albrecht Dürer thought in formulas while remaining an artist.
Salvador Dalí explored not matter, but the mind.

Art and science meet wherever questions begin. Zenyk Art Gallery is one of those places.

“Experiments at ZAG” is a new direction of the gallery, developed within the broader interdisciplinary project “ZAG: SENSES,” where art becomes a space of inquiry: for children — through experience and interaction, and for adults — through knowledge, thinking, and science.

Within “Experiments at ZAG,” interactive sessions for children aged 8–12 explore electricity, energy, natural phenomena, and the logic of the world, approaching physics as lived experience rather than abstract theory.

The sessions are led by Oleksandr Zakhariash, PhD in Physics and Mathematics, associate professor, long-time educator, and science communicator.

Special attention is given to the children of military families and families of fallen heroes. For them, ZAG becomes a space of support, trust, and safe curiosity — a place where it is possible to ask the world questions again.

We are open to new participants and invite everyone who feels connected to this way of understanding the world to join the SENSES space at ZAG.

〰️ In March we will continue the cycle with the next stage. We remain open to new participants and will be glad to welcome those who share this approach to discovery.
