Zenyk Art Gallery presents the intimate retrospective exhibition “Genuine”, dedicated to the memory of Mykhailo Skobalo — a Ukrainian artist for whom art was a form of inner truth and a way of being.
Mykhailo Skobalo (1960–2025) lived and worked in Lviv. He participated in numerous exhibitions in Ukraine and abroad; his works are held in private collections across Europe and North America. This artist belonged to a generation that combined classical art school practice with strong personal voice, avoiding external effects and opportunism.
The title “Genuine” speaks not only about the author but also about a state — about a person and art without falseness. The presented works are a quiet conversation about dignity, inner strength, and human presence.
