Singing Circle “Generous Harvest” at ZAG Gallery

Date & Time: August 9 at 19:15
Location: ZENYK ART GALLERY (3rd floor, in the exhibition space near the works of Illia Repin)
Limited number of seats available

On August 9, we warmly invite you to ZENYK ART GALLERY for a singing circle with Nataliya Rybka-Parkhomenko — Merited Artist of Ukraine, actress of the Les Kurbas Theater, and one of the soloists of the “Kurbasy” ensemble.

Together with Nataliya Rybka-Parkhomenko — a singer, actress, and bearer of deep ancestral sound — we will immerse ourselves in the summer cycle of Ukrainian folk songs: Rusalka songs, Kupala songs, and Petriwka songs.

The theme of the evening is harvest songs, an inseparable part of the Ukrainian ritual calendar tradition.
These songs accompanied the gathering of the harvest, praised the majesty of the fields, the labor of reapers, celestial bodies, and the generosity of the earth. They embody deep symbolism of gratitude, belief in the sacred power of bread, and the unity of the community.
As the folk saying goes: “A sheaf is God.”

During this evening, you will be invited to sing with other participants and feel the power of the voice — a voice that reminds us that Ukraine is one of the most songful countries in Europe, where living traditions of folk singing are preserved and passed on.

No prior singing experience is needed, as this event will come to life through your voice and your desire to sing. You will also have the chance to explore your own unique sound and share it with the world.

Program:
• Singing circle with traditional harvest songs
• Insights into their origins and meanings
• Tea with honey and apples — generous gifts of the two Spas (Honey Spas and Apple Spas)

Time: 19:15–21:30
Participation fee: 1200 UAH
