“Revue. Lviv Fashion”
At Zenyk Art Gallery, the first “Lviv Fashion Revue” in a hundred years will take place — an event that unites history, style, and a contemporary reflection on the role of women in culture. It is an attempt to interpret tradition through the language of fashion and to see how the aesthetics of the past can resonate today.
The event will open with a lecture by Professor Alla Shvets, “Style as Manifesto: Women, Fashion, and Nation in Interwar Lviv.” At the heart of the discussion are Ukrainian women of the 1920s–30s, who shaped the country’s image in the world, advocated for its independence, and created their own cultural language.
The highlight of the evening will be the presentation of a new collection by Roksolana Bohutska, inspired by the atmosphere of interwar Lviv. The collection reinterprets 1930s silhouettes, featuring silk fabrics, original prints, and details that echo Galician motifs.
The event will also include a charitable component: part of the proceeds from ticket sales will go toward supporting two students of the Lviv National Academy of Arts, who will receive grants to realize their own design projects.
The “Lviv Fashion Revue” is conceived as a space of encounter — between history and modernity, knowledge and beauty, thought and inspiration.
An evening that will combine a fashion show, music, conversations over coffee, and the opportunity to see fashion as a cultural text that captures the spirit of Lviv.
